An engineer by day, a farmer the rest of his waking hours, Nour fuses engineering principles with permaculture to build Amana Ranch into a resilient and sustainable farm. As a practicing engineer who has worked in the field of implantable medical devices for over a decade, Nour has become all too familiar with health complications that are closely associated with bad diets and nutrient-deficient foods. This motivates him every day to stay active on the farm and to strive towards making nutrient-dense foods more accessible for the local community.
Driven by instinct and motivated by nature's beauty, our Little Helper oversees rotational grazing ("the dance") and inspects the health of the grass in each paddock to determine whether it's time to move the flock to a new paddock. She loves being around the animals and can often be found singing to them.
Our Happy Hen is an integral member of the Amana Ranch team. She aerates the soil, eradicates pests, processes food scraps, fertilizes, and turns compost piles. In her spare time, she sits down and lays the most beautiful and healthiest eggs you can find.
